Why Did You Want to Become a Sleep Dentist?
Dr. Wallmann’s undergraduate degree is in statistics, and after working on a research project one summer where her only companion was a computer, she decided that she wanted to do something that involved more interpersonal interaction. This eventually led her to dentistry, and she hasn’t looked back since!
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Wallmann started her college career at Brigham Young University, and she went on to earn her dental degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She then completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the Audie L. Murphy VA Medical Center. Over the years, she has been very active in different study clubs and professional organizations, including the Arizona Dental Association and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Born in Utah, Dr. Wallmann and her husband, Thatcher, have two dogs named Harry and Weasley. On the weekends, she likes to spend time with them, ride electric bikes, read, and plan her next trip to Disneyland.
